The Gadget Show #36 - Generation Y
The Gadget Show #036 (MP3 – 9.0MB – 26min 15sec)
Today’s Gadget Show guest is Peter Sheahan, a well respected expert on Generation Y. His book, Generation Y; Thriving (and Surviving) with Generation Y at Work, is sold out in many stores and he’s sought after by many organisations to “better attract, develop and engage young talent, also known as Generation Y.”
I chat with Peter about his background, and Gen Y’s use of technology. My favorite quote is “Gen Y build and nuture relationships using technology as their medium for communication.” We talk about instant messaging, gaming, MySpace, weblogs and the technology gap between haves and have-nots.
He’s also a Tablet PC user, and he gives me the best reason I’ve heard yet to adopt using one. Scoble would love it.

great show dude. Belinda told me about seeing Peter at that PR function last year and she was impressed, so it was good to hear him for myself. Lots of good info in the show.
As for his tablet pc use, you obviously NEVER listen to my frakkin show. I’ve been saying the same thing about my acer travelmate tablet pc for a year!!!! :-)
