Cringley On An Apple And Intel Merger.
The computer industry’s best conspiracy theorist, Robert X. Cringley, has a fantastic story about Apple and Intel. He theorizes that the two major technology suppliers are merging. Shame that it’s just a story though. One with more holes than Microsoft’s security. There is one so wide that you could sail Larry Ellison’s yacht through. Why would Intel jeopardize it’s partnerships with other computer manufacturers like IBM and HP by owning it’s own platform. They wouldn’t. The potential revenue down side would number in the billions of bucks.
Anyway. It’s a great read, as most of Cringley’s stories are.
