O’Reilly Radar Tracks New Technology Memes.
I’ve just added another blog feed to my RSS Aggregator. That makes 277 subscriptions I now monitor. In this case it’s going straight to my “Must Read” folder in NetNewsWire because I know the content is going to be worthy of monitoring on a day to day basis.
Rael, Chief Technology Officer at O’Reilly Media, points to O’Reilly Radar, a blog that will track the latest new and interesting technology conversations. Given O’Reilly’s track record in the past, it’ll be a great resource to keep our fingers on the pulse of geekdom.
The O’Reilly Radar blog will track what we’re tracking, and turn the blips into conversations. Using some of the technologies we’re currently enjoying — tags by del.icio.us, photos by Flickr, trends by the Yahoo!/O’Reilly Buzz Market — we’ll draw from the wisdom of the alpha geeks, amplify the weak signals, draw out effective design patterns, iterate, and see if we can predict the next Mosaic, P2P, or Amazon.
