What’s Your Most Anticipated Tiger Feature?
I mentioned a couple of days ago that Apple’s new Tiger OS is due at the end of the month. At the moment, I’m like TUAW, and am really looking forward to the release.
When Panther was released I think I was just as excited. This time however, the number of Apple users has more than quadrupled, so the buzz their each day is high. I’ve also spoken with a user who constantly reminds me just how good the new features are.
So, like TUAW, here is my “favorite ’small’ addition” list.
Bluetooth Headset Support
Use your Bluetooth headset as an input and output device, enabling hands-free audio conferences in iChat AV and more.
Gee, I wonder if me being a Podcaster has anything to do with that one.
Mail and iPhoto Integration
Add photos that you receive in email directly to iPhoto with a single click.
This one’ll save so much time when friends or family send me a photo. Usually I have to drag it on to iPhoto when it’s open.
Mail Server Quota Management
Display information about the amount of mail server storage used/available on compatible email servers.
Very neat. Especially since we’ve just introduced quotas in the office.
The one that’ll be worth me paying the $199 for all by itself is iSync finally supporting my Nokia 7610. Having a useful calendar and contact list in my pocket will be a godsend. I currently use the iPod, but for business I’d rather just carry the phone, and it does offer the ability to input.
Let’s hear what you’re most looking forward to.
