The Gadget Show - News Podcast for April 8
Today’s show was a huge amount of fun. I rang a good friend of mine who moved from Perth back to Melbourne only a few months ago. His new job entails training people the technical details about an air traffic management system, so we spend a short while discussing the gadgets that they use and the layout of the system, from the controllers desk, to the radar systems around Oz. I found it amazing, and am sure it’ll interest a good number of tech people who listen.
Also, in the name of fun, we called some Star Wars fans who have started a line in front of Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles and chat with a lovely Aussie called Caroline.

Have seen those monitors/displays as my Brother-in-Law, Robert, worked in Air Services Australia aligning those things. From memory he mentioned they are a pain to align. Some of the equipment out there is amazing! Some of the rooms he cabled is unbelievable to me.
