Skype Journal, those sneaky little devils, have discovered pricing details for SkypeIn and the Skype Voicemail service. The source of the leak? Skype’s own help web site.

So what’s the deal. Well a SkypeIn number will cost 10 Euro for 3 months or 30 Euro for a year. Bundled in with the number is free voice mail. If you don’t want a number, you can get Skype Voicemail separately for 5 Euro for 3 months or 15 for the year. Initially numbers will be for a selection of top US cities and states, France, the City of London and in Hong Kong. This being important if you want to encourage people in your locale to call you. It’s no good asking a mate in Sydney to call you on a London number.

Skype has to move quickly, as there is mounting pressure, even from some unusual places. They need to capture a greater segment of the market, including users who need to have a facility for being called, not just calling out.
