Apple iPod mini Rumours.
The recent legal wrangle between Apple and several news sites just makes Think Secret’s news this week that much more believable. According to the rumours, Apple is set to release an iPod mini with colour display and a 5 or 6GB capacity. Both features certainly aren’t “if” but “when”, no brainer enhancements that just keep the device in the personal music player game.
For those not aware, several sites have been subpoenaed by Apple over some rumours they published under the legal action, asking that they name their sources. This week Apple put a hold on the “requests” as lawyers from the EFF claimed that it violated the sites first amendment rights under the federal shield law for reporters. With the current trend to call markets conversations (see Scoble’s recent post about Microsoft marketing), Apple’s actions couldn’t be a more negative method. With a recent spate of positive publicity about their new products, it doesn’t seem to have effected the company, but how long can it last when they’re suing some of their most ardent fans.
Stay tuned to this week’s The Gadget Show News podcast and we’ll report on any new Apple announcements.

Wonderful products, innovative designs and cult status aside, Apple was created and is run by a tyrant. He governs with fear and psychological brutality. Once President Bush gets wind of that, Apple will be next on the list for Regime Change.
