The Gadget Show - News Podcast For The Week Of Feb 14.

It’s been a busy week in mobile phone news with the 3GSM World Congress 2005 happening in Cannes. It’s really shown us the trend for the next year, I mentioned it in yesterday’s post. So I launch the first news podcast with a little info on this trend, and then delve into a couple of neat gadget related items that’s caught my eye in the last 7 days.

    HI guys,
Where can I find out more about “Possibly your competitor” and there products? Shouldn’t you have a link to there website? You should really improve there add its a bit dull!

    TIA

Yawn. Just listened to the show and I will give you one big suggestion (from my point of view, and lets face it, its one persons impression) is get your self a co-host! One person talking (again IMHO) gets boring awefully quickly. I am going to download your interview and check it out if it is more interesting.

    HTH.

PS. Mick and Cam, maybe you should have a PodcastNetwork review show (i.e. of shows on TPN). It would need to be honest and not just a W@nk to advertise the other shows. Another option is maybe a media watch type show! Just a suggestion

    Hi Molly.

Is that an offer for you to come on the show? Let me know. I’ll Skype you in this week.

    Rich.

  6. Mollyfud Says:

I could, but for four things:
    1) I would be as boring as
    2) Not sure I have time
    3) I don’t have many gadgets
    4) Did I mention that I would be verying boring.

Please don’t take my comment as a big flame (although thinking back it is probably written in that way a little), but as constructive critism, that will hopefully improve the show. From my point of view, I like hearing about gadgets even if I know I will never afford them.

It just gets you that banter that can carry the interest and you get more then one opinion. For example, I can remember G’day World episodes that Cam says he doesn’t like something because it doesn’t do something and then Mick would tell him how it does.

Hey and these are just my opinions. Other people that have the money to buy the gadgets that you are talking about might be more interested in a very straight cast that just talks about the facts. Perhaps the show would be better as a short review by reveiw format (or perhaps the main show being the news as this one is and review shows being on their own).

Just my 2 cents, and please don’t take the comments personally as you have done a very good job for the first show. I can’t image what its like just talking into the computer without any feedback.

No worries Molly. I’m happy to get any feedback, no matter if it hurts a little, just a part of podcasting ;).

In all honesty I’d been thinking it was worth having at least a guest on the news show. I’ll try a few different things in the next few weeks. Mix it up a little, and see how we go. Happy to hear your thoughts if you get a chance to listen.

    Rich.
